As a Branch of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges the Sussex County YMCA is part of a powerful Association of members, volunteers and staff who are joined together by a shared passion to strengthen the foundation of the communities we serve.  The YMCA is dedicated to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility which, ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.  Serving more than 164,000 members and program participants throughout the state of New Jersey the  Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change.


SC03In 2010 Sussex County YMCA was proud to collaborate with the following partners:
Fredon Civic Center, Andover Community Center, Littell Center, Local Schools, Local Rotaries, Kiwanis, American Red Cross, Center for Prevention & Counseling, Mentoring Plus, Newton Memorial Hospital, NORWESCAP, Project Self Sufficiency, St. Clair’s Hospital, SCARC, Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Sussex County, North Jersey Regional Arthritis Center, Willow Glen, Hardyston Township, Sparta Township, DEP, Lakeland Charities, Local Swim Teams, and NJ Blood Center.

In addition to our collaborations, the Sussex County YMCA also provided our facilities to these organizations:
SCARC, Sussex County School for Special Children, ALFA, Boy Scouts, Project Self Sufficiency, Local PTAs/Schools, Hardyston Recreation Dept, SWIM Inc, Arthritis Foundation, MS Support Group, High School Swim Teams, American Red Cross, Guardian Angels, Easter Seals, March of Dimes, Center for Prevention, Pass It Along, and Local Police, Fire and EMT.

During 2010 the Sussex County YMCA was a partner in these community events:
Open Houses, Health Seminars, Winter Wonderland, Healthy Kids Day, Healthy Kids Day Kickball Tournament, Golf Outing, Barbeque, America on the Move/Champion of the Grill, Active Adult Holiday Party, Superintendent Breakfast, and Fall Family Fun Festival.

Parents, Adults, Children, Teens, Diverse Community, Seniors, Obese Adults & Children, Children & Adults with Special Needs, and Local Businesses.

The Sussex County YMCA also provided free community programs that included the following activities:
Pioneering Healthier Communities, CATCH After School Activities, SWIM Inc, 7th Grade Memberships, and Military Memberships.
