The Sussex County YMCA is a mission driven, community organization. When you join the Sussex County YMCA, you are joining more than a gym. You are becoming part of a worldwide organization committed to building ‘strong kids, strong families and strong communities.' We provide a wide variety of programs and classes for people of all ages in our community, and offer several different types of membership. Regardless of the type of membership, we consider each and every YMCA member to be an important part of our growing YMCA family.
Facility Memberships Facility Memberships are available in the following categories and include the following: priority registration for all programs, use of the pool, Wellness Center including free equipment orientation and group exercise classes, Wellness Coaching Program, lap swim, adult aquatic group exercise classes, family swim times, and use of the locker rooms and showers.

*Defined as two adults, all children under the age of 18, and full-time college students (15 credits) under the age of 22, living in the same household.
Program Memberships Program memberships are required for Blue Mountain Day Camp, YMCA Before and After School Programs. Program members may also take part in select youth and aquatic programs and adult specialty programs for an additional fee. Program Members do not have Facility privileges.
Individual (youth/adult) $75.00
Family (2 or more children in the family) $125.00
Child Watch Child Watch is included as part of Family membership. Adult facility members pay a $4.00 per child per visit fee for their children, aged 3 months to 6 years, while parents participate in our programs. Child Watch is not available to non-members.
The following time limits are in place for each group:
3 months- 11 months up to 1 hour 1 year- 18 months 1 ½ hours 19 months- 6 years Two hours
Youth and Teen Room The Youth and Teen Games Room is available for children aged 7 and up. The area is supervised by YMCA staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children. There is a two hour time limit for all participants and a $5 fee per youth per visit for non-members.
Joiner’s Fee Upon joining, new members pay a Joiners Fee in addition to Membership dues. Members who allow their memberships to lapse may rejoin within 30 days of expiration without repaying this fee (after 30 days the Joiner Fee must be paid in full to re-activate a membership). Joiner Fee is non-refundable. Members in good standard from another YMCA may request a waiver of Joiner Fee.
Membership Cards Membership cards are issued to all new members. Cards must be presented upon entering the YMCA. There is a $10 fee for replacement membership cards.
Guest Passes A Day Pass may be purchased for general use of the facility. Identification is required and all guests must sign in at the Welcome Center.
Youth/Teen (up to age 17) $10 Adults $15 Family $25 (defined as two adults and any children under the age of 18 living in the household)
Valuables The Sussex County YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please secure your belongings with a lock when using the Locker Rooms. Lock boxes are also available outside the Locker Rooms for valuables.
My Y is Every Y: Reciprocity Membership The Sussex County YMCA as part of the Metro YMCAs of the Oranges has teamed up with the Summit Area YMCA , the Madison Area YMCA and Somerset Hills YMCA to give members a greater value to your membership. From May 1 through December 31, 2010, Sussex County YMCA members may visit and exercise an unlimited amount of times at any of the YMCAs listed above. Upon your first visit to a host YMCA, you must present your valid membership card and photo identification. A.W.A.Y. Program Always Welcome at YMCA’s is the YMCA’s nationwide visiting member program. More that 1,000 Y’s participate in the AWAY program. This program is designed to accommodate out of town YMCA members who want to continue their routine while they are away from home. A nominal guest fee may be charged.
