The Sussex County YMCA is hiring for the following positions:

 Camp Counselors - Blue Mountain Day Camp @ Fairview Lake YMCA Camp, Stillwater
What better way is there to spend a summer than with young people in a beautiful outdoor setting while teaching them new skills and watching them grow before your eyes? Blue Mountain Day Camp operates for a period of 10 weeks, from June through August, five days per week. Daily hours are from 8:30am-5:00pm. Transportation to and from camp is available for campers and staff (spaces limited). Working at a summer camp is an extremely demanding job, however the rewards are great. Only caring adults with a love and proven ability to work with children need apply! Sussex County YMCA's recruitment process includes comprehensive training and extensive background checks.

We are seeking applicants for the following positions:

1. JUNIOR COUNSELORS (16-17 yrs.): Assist Senior Counselors and Program Specialists, and provide secondary leadership for campers. Experience working with children required.
2. SENIOR COUNSELORS (18 years and older): Senior Counselors are responsible for supervising campers, implementing day-to-day activities in their assigned units and for assisting with the planning of special events and all-camp activities. Experience working with children required.

Lifeguard –
General Functions:
The lifeguard will be responsible for the safety, well being and enjoyment of the aquatic programs for all members. The lifeguard is responsible for assuring the safety of all those in the pool area by being on deck, walking around the pool area, constantly remaining alert while on duty, enforcing all pool rules and all other duties assigned by the Aquatics Director.
Qualifications:
1. Must be 16 years if age
2. Must maintain current YMCA, American Red Cross AED Training or equivalent
3. Must maintain current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid & Safety or the equivalent qualifications
4. Continue to maintain good health & fitness


Swim Instructor
General Functions:
The Swimming Instructor is responsible for teaching the YMCA Progressive Swim Programs. He/She is responsible for ensuring the safety of all children/adults enrolled in classes. A swim instructor is responsible for making the learning experience enjoyable and fun for all the participants.

Qualifications:
1. Must be at least 17 years of age
2. Must maintain current YMCA, American Red Cross or equivalent Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguarding Certification
3. Must maintain current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid and Safety, AED or equivalent certifications.
4. Continue to maintain good health and fitness.

Personal Trainers
We are always looking for diversified, experienced Personal Trainers.
Sports Instructor
Responsible for teaching sports classes at our satellite location in Fredon.
