•    AED – Learn to use an Automated External Defibrillator to save victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Participants must have a current CPR certification (please bring proof to class) or be completing AED certification along with a CPR class.

    Babysitter’s Training (11 - 15 years) - Gain the skills and confidence you need to become a great babysitter.  Learn decision making skills, first aid and basic care skills. All participants receive a Babysitter’s Handbook and earn an American Red Cross Babysitter’s training certificate upon completion of the course.

•    Community CPR & Oxygen –
Lay responders will gain the knowledge and skills to provide care for adults, children and infants who have breathing emergencies, such as choking, and learn to perform CPR.

•     Oxygen Administration - Learn to properly use oxygen equipment in the event of breathing emergencies.

•    CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED
– This certification is required by health professionals and lifeguards, who have a professional duty to act in an emergency and provide care. The class covers adult, child and infant CPR (one and two rescuer), and use of the Automated External Defibrillator to save victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

•    First Aid/AED – Participants learn the skills and knowledge necessary to give care in an emergency situation, help sustain life until medical assistance arrives and minimize the consequences of injury and sudden illness.

•    Guard Start – A hands on, informative class for teens aged 12 – 15 years to teach them the skills  needed to become the lifeguards of the future. Class focuses on observation skills, swimming skills and safety around the water.

•    Lifeguard Training - A 36-hour course includes Waterfront Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.  Minimum age 15 years old. Must pass the pre-requisite swim test (550yds swim, retrieve a 10 lb brick from a depth of 9ft).  If unable to pass the pre-requisite test, a refund less $130.00 will be processed.

•    Lifeguard Instructor Training - To train instructor candidates to teach basic-level Lifeguarding.  Be at least 17 years of age on or before the last scheduled day of the instructor course. * Call for dates.
