Activate America The Sussex County YMCA is a proud supporter of Activate America®, the YMCA’s bold approach to addressing our nation’s growing health crisis. Through Activate America, YMCAs are engaging children, teens, adults and families in successfully pursuing health and well-being in spirit, mind and body. The Sussex County YMCA, like many other YMCAs across the country, is actively engaging our community to provide better opportunities for all residents of Sussex County in their pursuit of health. We aim to create healthier communities by expanding our role in the community by engaging in health focused community partnerships and coalitions. Staff at the Sussex County YMCA serve on the following committees: •    The Partnership for Healthy Adolescents (a program of the Center for Prevention and Counseling) •    Sussex County Council of Service Agencies •    Sussex County Coalition for Safe and Healthy Families •    Sussex County Chamber of Commerce Wellness Committee We are also pleased to announce collaborations with local recreation committees to offer our excellent programs for adults, seniors and children at the following locations: Fredon Gymnasium (Fredon Recreation Committee),  Littell Center (Hardyston Recreation Committee) and Andover Recreation Committee. The following special community events are held annually at the Sussex County YMCA: •    April:  Healthy Kids Day •    September:  America On The Move Day Both events are open to the public.
