Pre-Teen and Teen Classes

The following classes will be offered for the Winter Session January 2- February 26th. 

Online registration for Winter begins on December 12 for facility members.

2012 Winter Program Guide


YOUTH & BEGINNER CONTACT KICKBOXING (Ages 10 to adult)
A great way to work up to an advanced level of fitness training.  This modified class combines elements of boxing, martial arts, and aerobics for a workout that provides overall physical conditioning.  Exercise while having fun.  

Thursday: 6:00-7:00pm 

Members: $80   
Program Members: $120


YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS 
(ages 13 and up)
Volunteer opportunities are always available at the Y and we always appreciate every generation getting involved. Some volunteer positions include working as a greeter at special events, assisting instructors in swim and youth programs, helping in Child Watch room and other activities. Volunteering at the Y can fullfill school, community, religious and service learning volunteer requirements.  Please download an application here.
 

BABYSITTER’S TRAINING (11-15 years)
This course teaches the responsibilities of a babysitter. These include how to supervise children, handle an emergency or illness, perform first aid & change diapers. In addition, future babysitters will learn how to offer safe & fun activities & much more.


FRIDAY FUN NIGHTS (10-15 years)
The hip place to be for anyone between the ages of 10-15. Everyone will be about to join in on all of the planned activities such as swimming, games & just hanging out!  Check here for a schedule of events!

1st and 3rd Friday of each month: 6:30pm-8:45pm

Members: $4               
Non-Members: $6


LEADERS CLUB
(Middle School)
Middle School students come together to develop their own activities and events with an emphasis on social responsibility. We focus on developing leadership skills & team building. 

Wednesday: 7:00pm- 8:00pm

Y SERVICE CORPS
(High School)
High School students are invited to join in on service learning activities & making a difference in our community! Do you need volunteer hours for school or church? This program is for you!

High School Hangout
High Schoolers ONLY! Get a workout, splash in the pool and play ping pong or other games with your posse. If you have ideas for cool things to do, call 319-209-9622 & ask for Rebecca.
Non-memebrs welcome!
