Infant and ToddlerMusic and Movement (Infant to 3 yrs) – Enjoy simple musical instruments and exploring different types of music with your child. Just for Kicks Soccer (2 – 3 yrs) – A kick around for kids and their parents. Run around, score a goal and make new friends. Pre School Programs Music and Movement (3 - 5 yrs) - Enjoy simple musical instruments and exploring different types of music with your child, followed by an introduction to movement through age appropriate games and activities. Included in family membership Sports & Recreation School-Age Programs Bear Basketball (Grades 2 - 4) - Players develop skills through drills and game play. An emphasis on participation, sportsmanship and having fun. Funner To Be A Runner (5 - 13 yrs) - A non-competitive exercise program which teaches children about the health and wellness benefits associated with running. Children have fun and learn about running through game based activities. Proper sneakers and attire are required. All Sorts of Sports (6 - 9 yrs) - An introduction to team sports for the school aged child. Soccer, hockey, lacrosse and basketball are covered during the session. Players develop skills through fun drills and play. Judo (Grades K - 9) - Learn the Japanese martial art of Judo, where the emphasis is on throws and grappling maneuvers. Karate/Self Defense (Grades K - 9) - Teaches personal development by learning self-defense, safety awareness, self-esteem and communication. Sports Spectrum (6 - 10 yrs) - A sports program for children with special needs, incorporating fine and gross motor skills, sensory stimulation and social interaction through physical training appropriate to their level. Street Devils Floor Hockey (6 - 13 yrs) - Learn hockey fundamentals in a fun, values-centered environment. A great introduction to the game of hockey on land in sneakers. The YMCA provides equipment and instruction through skill training and game play. Participant must provide own hockey helmet with face guard. Mouthpieces and cups are recommended.
